29 Weeks - Pregnancy #4

Each Monday, I'd like to do a highlights post, including a picture, summarizing the differences in my pregnancy from week to week.  I totally "grabbed" this idea from Kelly.  I've done this with my three previous pregnancies (you can go to the search box and type in "pregnancy," or "week #" if you're interested in how my previous pregnancies progressed), as well, and I still think it is a great way to jot down the things that I don't want to forget later on.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along:  29 weeks

Size of baby:  This little one is a little over 15 inches long (head to toe) and about the weight of a butternut squash.

Total weight gain/loss:  I'm up 17 pounds total as of my appointment last Friday.

Maternity clothes:  spaghetti strap shirts, loose skirts or summery dresses, cute/comfy shorts, flip-flops, long-sleeve soft, fitted shirts

Gender:  boy :) 💙

Movement:  hiccups and big kicks :)

Sleep:  Sleep has been ok; will be glad when this sciatic nerve pain eases some

What I miss: my rear end not cramping with sciatic pain; putting on socks

Cravings:  chocolate protein shakes with peanut butter; ice cream

Symptoms:  sciatic nerve (yoga helps a lot) pain; back pain; uterine tightness

Exercise:  just stretching this week and one walk to and from the park

Best moment this week:  my pain-free moments are great!

28 Weeks - Pregnancy #4

Each Monday, I'd like to do a highlights post, including a picture, summarizing the differences in my pregnancy from week to week.  I totally "grabbed" this idea from Kelly.  I've done this with my three previous pregnancies (you can go to the search box and type in "pregnancy," or "week #" if you're interested in how my previous pregnancies progressed), as well, and I still think it is a great way to jot down the things that I don't want to forget later on.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along:  28 weeks - Third Trimester!

Size of baby:  This little one is a little under 15 inches long (head to toe) and about the weight of a large eggplant.

Total weight gain/loss:  I'm up 14 pounds total as of my last appointment.

What I miss: my rear end not cramping with sciatic pain

Cravings:  chocolate protein shakes with peanut butter

Symptoms:  sciatic nerve (yoga helps a lot) pain

Exercise:  walking a couple of times a week; 15-20 minutes of yoga 3-5 times a week

Best moment this week:  realizing that this pregnancy has been my best one yet. I am the healthiest (and most mentally/emotionally stable lol) I've been, and my energy level has been far greater than with any other pregnancy. It's kind of incredible what great nutrition will do for one's body. I don't take it lightly or for granted.

Sunday Mornings

"Easy like Sunday morning" means squat in this household.

I love Sundays because they mean church and worshiping with family and friends.

But Sunday mornings are often rushed for me. The Husband usually comes home from work and immediately takes a nap, which leaves me to doing everything for everyone. I mean I usually do that anyway, but because we have to be somewhere at a certain time, all of us, I feel flustered and rushed until we actually get in the car and my belt is buckled.

I know it will be twice as difficult once the baby arrives, but for now I'll try to find the joy in the harried moments.

Because these two?

They have really come into their personalities. Jack is starting to have some super fun conversations with us, and Ella is both delightful and determined--a challenging combination. We love them both immensely, and we hope our newest little guy will fit right in with our sweet and crazy bunch :)
(I love that they hold hands without being told to; it's a reminder of all of the nights I've prayed for a sweet friendship between them and of God's faithfulness.)

Some of the neatest little kiddos I know. And the wildest.

27 Weeks - Pregnancy #4

Each Monday, I'd like to do a highlights post, including a picture, summarizing the differences in my pregnancy from week to week.  I totally "grabbed" this idea from Kelly.  I've done this with my three previous pregnancies (you can go to the search box and type in "pregnancy," or "week #" if you're interested in how my previous pregnancies progressed), as well, and I still think it is a great way to jot down the things that I don't want to forget later on.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along:  27 weeks

Size of baby:  This little one is about 14 1/2 inches long (head to toe) and about the weight of a head of cabbage.

Total weight gain/loss:  I'm up 14 pounds total as of my last appointment.

Maternity clothes:  spaghetti strap shirts, loose skirts or summery dresses, and cute/comfy shorts, flip-flops

Gender:  boy :) 💙

Movement:  hiccups and big kicks :)

Sleep:  Sleep has been ok; last night was rough. My back and acid reflux (my fault for eating pizza three hours before bed) would not let up.

What I miss: Lying on my back and then getting up without having to roll to the side and prop myself up first; putting on socks without thinking about how I will put them on

Cravings:  peanut butter, cheese, ice cream

Symptoms:  sciatic nerve (yoga helps a lot) pain

Exercise:  walking a couple of times a week; 15-20 minutes of yoga 3-5 times a week

Best moment this week:  getting to see him at our specialist appointment! We watched him open and close his eyes and have the hiccups :)

Two Things Tuesday

1. I snapped this shot of them yesterday afternoon while they played with the little purple car our neighbors brought over. They had the best time, and we have the best neighbors. We are happy to hold onto the car and the neat rocking airplane for them until they have new little ones arrive in their own family :)

2.  This morning, my parents arrived before the children were up for the day so that The Husband and I could make the trip to my specialist appointment in Houston.  It was a great appointment and Baby #4 is doing really well :). The doctor has high hopes that I'll make it to at least 36 weeks (10 weeks away), so that was great news.
We got to see the baby kick and squirm and open and close his eyes. He also had the hiccups for much of the time we watched him. It's all so neat to see.
He weighs about 2 lbs and 2 ounces (which is nearly a pound ahead of schedule, and all of his measurements look good.
We saw his sweet little face again, and it nearly took my breath away.

The Husband and I stopped on the way home and had lunch at Cracker Barrel. Good grief, it was yummy, but we both passed out in a food coma when we got home--not good--, and it was so hard for me to get up and, you know, do the mom thing of taking care of kiddos. He and I will both be having our super-food protein shakes tonight for dinner to help us feel better!

#WhyWednesday

WHY?

Here’s my “why” for this Wednesday (and if you read this entire thing, I promise I will hug you long and hard the next time I see you)--
In fact, if you even took the time to click over here and read these first few sentences, you deserve a sticker.

I wake up raring to go almost
every.
single.
morning (hence this very early post)
when that alarm goes off (even after those nights -- like last night -- where my children decided they would rather be dramatic actors with their blatantly obvious attempts at entertaining the neighborhood with their endless noise and stamina all from the comfort of their beds, you know, instead of stilling their restless bodies and falling into a deep and peaceful slumber 😳).
The sweet calmness pictured above is, obviously, an allusion and not my actual reality for most of the day. 😂

Y’all, I get to show people how to live the lives that they want and have the health that they want at the same time. My husband, my mother, several of my dearest friends, are all finding results they haven't gotten from anywhere else, simply by eating amazing nutrient-rich foods and ridding their bodies of impurities.

The neat thing about being a servant-leader (besides the fact that that’s what God has called us to be since Jesus was kind of you know the ultimate servant-leader) means it’s not about me. It’s about “who can I help”?
Mark 10:45,
1 Peter 4:10,
Galatians 5:13

Here’s what I’m excited about:

**We’ve partnered with one of the fastest growing health and wellness companies in the world, with innovative and clinically proven systems, which are science-backed and testimony-driven.  Just one example is this: a recent study was released showing this nutritional program is giving individuals better results than a heart-healthy diet recommended by doctors.

**In just 14 years of business it has remained debt-free and privately-owned (and it gives money to those who help it succeed instead of investors or those who hold stock).

**It has just announced its 193rd every-day average-Joe/Jill  person to earn a MILLION dollars in cumulative sales--holy cow, is that not awesome?!

**They are offering FREE SHIPPING on any qualifying new member orders for this week only.

This is not a get-rich-quick scheme nor is it a magic pill.
This is work.
This is about finding people who are looking for that one thing that will help them reach their goals, and then supporting them along the process.

I can go on and on, but really, get in touch with me if you’re interested in learning more.
Because I have so much to share. ❤️ And, if you're interested in what we use and why we use it, check out those links. But, don't go it alone. Come be a part of our support team. You won't regret it.

25 Weeks - Pregnancy #4

Each Monday, I'd like to do a highlights post, including a picture, summarizing the differences in my pregnancy from week to week.  I totally "grabbed" this idea from Kelly.  I've done this with my three previous pregnancies (you can go to the search box and type in "pregnancy," or "week #" if you're interested in how my previous pregnancies progressed), as well, and I still think it is a great way to jot down the things that I don't want to forget later on.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along:  25 weeks

Size of baby:  This little one is 13 1/2 inches long  (head to toe) about the weight of a rutabaga.

Total weight gain/loss:  I'm up 14 pounds total as of my last appointment on Friday.

Maternity clothes:  spaghetti strap shirts, loose skirts or summery dresses, and cute/comfy shorts

Gender:  boy :) 💙

Movement:  lots of little kicks here and there

Sleep:  Sleep has been fine; although my body won't let me sleep any later than 6:45. Ever.

What I miss: Lying on my back and then getting up without having to roll to the side and prop myself up first

Cravings:  pizza, vanilla protein shakes with frozen strawberries

Symptoms:  tightness in my lower back muscles, into my rear end and hips 😂

Exercise:  I only walked once this week since my kids have been sick. I've tried to do yoga more often to relieve the tightness in my hips, and it's helped a lot each evening before bed.

Best moment this week:  hearing his heartbeat at my checkup (149 bpm)
