Thirty Days of Thankfulness (in photos) - Day 1

Image
I  found this neat idea online today at meplus3today.com, and I thought I'd give it a go for this month that is generally dedicated to being thankful. I edited it for the month of November.  Each day, I will post a photo or two of things I'm grateful for that go along with the list below. Feel free to join me on your own blog or on facebook.  Day 1 - Past

Day 1 - 30 Day Plan

I have fixed all of the meals for The Husband today, and I wrote out a schedule for him to follow while at work in the evenings.  Here's what he ate today. It was far easier than I thought it would be, and everything was provided for us except the snacks.  Breakfast - chocolate (not his favorite, but he said it wasn't bad. I may add in some frozen raspberries occasionally.) Snack - (salted/roasted - no oil) - about three and a half hours later  Lunch - (I found the package of 5 fillets in the frozen section. They were a huge hit. Yay for coupons! I added a teaspoon of olive oil to his mashed potatoes and a teaspoon to his green beans for his portion of good fats.) Snack - pistachios and apple slices Dinner - vanilla with a handful of frozen strawberries (he loved it--we'll definitely be ordering some individual containers of this flavor next month to help maintain!) So that was his first day. We also took his measurements and weight ...

Capturing December - Day 1

I've never done a picture-a-day series, but a friend of mine posted this on FB the other day, and I thought it looked like a lot of fun. I don't know who created this ( Lena , do you know?), so I can't give them credit, but I think it's an Instagram thing (something I don't do). If you have an Instagram account and decide to do this, I'm sure there's a hashtag out there for it! Day 1 - Your View Today

Thirty Days of Thankfulness - Take Two - Day 1

Image
A few years ago, I did a series of posts during November detailing many people/things/ideas I was grateful for. I was pregnant with Jack at the time, and I shared the news of that pregnancy at the end of the month. It was a special, crazy, scary time. If have much to be thankful for, so I thought I would do a "take two" of sorts.  Day 1 Today, this first day of November, I'm thankful that the amount of rain we've received these last few days has been refreshing and not overwhelming as in many many places in the state. I'm grateful that my loved ones in the areas that have received much rain are safe and sound.  Thank you, God, for pouring out your blessings as the rain has poured out here. I don't deserve them, but I accept them with a grateful heart.   What are you thankful for today? Share with me each day, if you will.
