Thankful Thursday (10/16)

Yesterday was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day.  In fact, the entire month of October is dedicated to the loss of babies.  Write-ups have been all over social media trying to bring awareness.  25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage or infant loss.  Those statistics are staggering.  I am the 1 in 4.  A few weeks ago, my mother-in-law came to visit. She brought with her lots of things they had been storing for us.  One box in particular held children's books. I love getting new books for us to read together, but these were different.  These books were given to us at our gender-reveal party for Hadley. We had invited those closest to us to help us celebrate our girl. Each book has a dedication to her in it.  I can read the books, but I can't yet read the words our friends and family wrote. I tried, but as soon as I saw things like, "your parents love you so much," and "hope you enjoy reading this with your mom a

Five Facts Friday (10/10)

1.  I haven't really blogged in a very long time. We don't have internet (it's not in our budget quite yet), so using the data on my phone to blog doesn't sound wise. Instead, most of the time I try to write things up at home and publish them at the library using their free wifi. 2.  The Husband's MRI showed that he has a bad bone bruise on his kneecap (with tons of tiny micro fractures), which could have resulted in a broken kneecap. Thank God, it didn't!  He's seeing an orthopedist on Monday to make sure his doctor didn't miss anything. He'll be on light duty at work for a while. Thank y'all for praying for him.  3.  I never got a chance to write about his graduation!  I'm so proud of him! He won the Top Gun award, and he did so well on his exams. Now, he's filling out applications for local departments, and we're hoping and praying he gets hired on at one of them at the first of the year.  4.  Jack got his first hai

1. The Husband royally screwed up his knee breaking up a fight at work a few weeks ago.  He's in a lot of pain and hasn't been able to work. His doctor wrote this on the report:  "contusion, sprain, and internal derangement to left knee."  Basically, that means she doesn't know what's wrong, haha :/  He had an MRI this morning to see what's going on. He'll see the doctor tomorrow morning (hopefully) to review the results. We are praying it's something that can be fixed soon.  2. Here are a few recent pictures of the kiddos. :)
