Five Facts Friday (2/26)

1.  My sister and niece stopped by yesterday before dinner to drop off a belated birthday present. I snapped this sweet shot while I was getting food ready. 

2.  So this was added to Netflix today. I watched four episodes while folding laundry this afternoon during the kids' naps. It's cheesy and sweet, and it's absolutely wonderful to revisit my childhood :) And Uncle Jesse still looks as handsome as ever, haha! Have mercy!

3. These gorgeous weather days have been great for after-nap playtime, and a neat, cheap spray bottle is a perfect outside toy. 

4.  Jack's tricycle was "broken" and needed "fixing."  
Ta-da!

5. I had to run to the bathroom when we came inside and heard the sound of lots and lots of small plastic pieces being poured onto the floor. Two minutes later, I open the door to this. It definitely took them a while to clean it all up.

Monday Musings (5/4)

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
