A Wish From Jack

Good morning, Mommy's blog readers! 
It is, I, Jack, coming to you from the time-out steps where I'm currently serving time. 
I wanted to wish my amazing grandparents a very happy Grandparents' Day! During room-time, I did a little finger painting for you, that I hope you'll like. 
I still don't know why Mommy wasn't thrilled that I used the whole bottle of lavender vanilla lotion I found on top of my changing table. The bottle that was so far back, I needed to climb up a few drawers to reach it. 
She was even less thrilled when she saw I had tried out my artistry on the rug, the floor, the furniture, my toys, my stuffed animals, myself. I was feeling super creative this morning, and when that feeling hits, you've just gotta run with it, right? Well, that feeling landed me in time-out with a pretty sore bottom, but I'm still feeling pretty pleased with myself and my creation even though Mommy spent 30 minutes trying to make it disappear. There's still a slight film on the window, so we'll all remember my beautiful artistic explosion for a long time to come, I think!
Happy Grandparents' Day to Nana, Grandpa, Nonny, and Pop-pop! I love you! 
Oh, and Ella says she loves you, too :)

    Paint away JackJack... poppop will buy mommy a new bottle of lotion. 2 so you can have another finger paint session

      Hahahahaha, that's ok! We'll save those bottles for your house ;)
      I think we'll stick with paint on paper here :)

    While we appreciate Jack's creative talents and we have many pictures in prominent places to prove it, we do understand that the creativity needs to be confined to paper! :) The time has come for all those potions and lotions to find a different home because Ella will be the next one in time out!!! We love them both and you, too!

      Fortunately, that was the only potion/lotion left in there. I thought it was well out of reach and that he had forgotten about it. Apparently not. Oh well. No more ointments to paint with in there now!

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
