Thankful Thursday (2/12)

How fitting that today is Thankful Thursday. 
I just received this in the mail from my very sweet cousin, Sarah. 


It is an incredibly thoughtful gift, and it made me cry (hence why my very blotchy face is nowhere near the picture). 

Yesterday, Jack received this ABC book from that very same wonderful cousin. 
He LOVES it. I love it. It's a very special book filled with lovely memories. 

Thank you, thank you, Sarah, for being such a kind and generous cousin and friend. 

It's a strange feeling when my heart smiles and aches all at the same time.

    What a beautiful necklace. Sarah had asked me for the correct spelling of your babies' names, but she didn't tell me why she wanted that information. She is a very special young lady. I know you will wear this and think of the love that went into having it made for you. Love you.

Monday Musings (5/4)

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
