A Sunday Evening

I actually fixed a meal tonight, and the three of us sat down as a family and ate. This was new because The Husband usually isn't home during dinner. And, it's different because I haven't felt up to doing anything other than make a sandwich. 
Jack had some frozen peas, peaches, frozen blueberries, and some of the mac and cheese I fixed. I opted out of giving him the asparagus this time around. :)
He LOVED the mac and cheese. He shoved whole handfuls into his mouth. He was pretty gross by the end of the meal haha ;)

Since The Husband was home this evening, I was able to take a shower before 10 o'clock for a change. Here are two of my loves snuggling. 

When I got out, she was wide awake and ready to eat :). She's so very sweet. And noisy. But mostly sweet!

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
