To Ella-With Love on Your 4th Birthday

Ella Hope.

You are 4!  You have grown leaps and bounds this year, literally and figuratively.  You are mere inches shorter than Jack, and I think you might weigh more, because you are solid and all muscle! 
You are beautiful and have the best smile around! You keep a tan better than any other member of our family. 

You love your brothers, but you are partial to Jack. He’s your best friend, and y’all talk about getting married often haha!  Olli thinks you hung the moon and tries to get your attention every chance he gets. I pray the three of you will always be sweet friends.

You are adventurous and daring but still anxious about new things until you figure them out. And then when you do? Look out world! 
You are smart, but you like to pretend you’re perplexed often. 

You love to pretend, and you love to sing. Watching you create crazy buildings with legos and seeing you take care of your babies and hearing you sing worship songs all make my momma-heart smile. 

You give the best hugs, but you don’t give them freely. You make people work for them ❤️

Ella Hope, you are wild and lovely and curious and loving. 
You are YOU! And I know God has big, huge, wonderful things in store for you. 
Don’t ever lose that sparkle, my love.

    We love her, too! She can be a wild child, but she is precious and we believe she will do great things in her life.

Monday Musings (5/4)

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
