To Oliver-With Love on Your 1st Birthday

Oh, sweet Oliver Flynn.
What a delightful year it’s been with you. 
You are sweet and snuggly and adorable. You’re a fantastic nurser and are doing well with trying out whatever I put on your tray to nibble on. Your favorites are greek yogurt, cottage cheese, apple sauce, mashed bananas, chunks of cheese, Cheerios, and black beans. 
You squeal and babble and say “Dada” all day without a hint of a “momma” to be found. 
You are nearly 20lbs of squishy and are a short thing at a little over 27 inches. 
You crawl sooo quickly, and you pull up on everything that stands still long enough for you to do so. 

You adore your people, and your people adore you. 

You have been the biggest blessing to our family this year, and we could not be more grateful. 
Happy, happy birthday, sweet baby! 
We love you bunches and bunches. 💙

    Oliver has been and continues to be a wonderful blessing for all of us. He is the bright spot in our difficult year. We can't wait to see what he accomplishes next. Love you.

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!
