Thirty Days of Thankfulness - Take Two - Day 26 - Happy Thanksgiving!

It's been a quiet day around here. 
The kids and I did a painting craft (a little tricky with the one-year-old), and we played outside some. 
I know you can't tell from the pictures, but honestly, they've both been really cranky today; maybe they were feeling a little stir-crazy, too. 
Tonight, we had a lovely, quiet dinner with my sister and her family. Thanks, y'all, for having us over and for the delicious food! And, for holding and entertaining our curious kiddos :)
Today, I'm thankful for a set-aside day that encourages thankfulness. I'm thankful for my children, who sometimes drive me crazy, because I know there are so many people who are heartbroken and who desperately want a child to call their own. I'm thankful for my house, that seems like it's falling apart all the time, because I know there are so many people who don't have a place to come home to. I'm thankful for The Husband, who also can drive me all kinds of crazy, because he's mine and I'm his, and because we get to navigate this life together even when we don't always see eye to eye. I'm thankful for friends and family and neighbors who are friends and like family all rolled into one (those same sweet neighbors brought over some yummy goodies this afternoon!). 
I hope you have much to be thankful for, too.

    Adorable!!!! I'm so glad y'all were able to get together with the Mc's. Beth said y'all had a lovely time and she adored being with Jack and Ella. We had a lovely day with lots of the Krueger cousins and sweet Aunt Alice. They all asked about you and hope to be able to see you one of these days. I'll have to give you the hugs in person that were being sent to you. Love you.

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!
