Thankful Thursday (3/19)

Today, I'm thankful for the ages and stages these two are at/in right now. 

Jack is 21 months old. 
He's smart and obedient 50-75% of the time. 
He's such an emotional faker! The pretend crying makes me giggle. He can turn it on and off like that. 
He's so funny, and he finds such joy in things I've forgotten to find joy in. 

Ella is 8 1/2 months old. 

First, she's ridiculously adorable. Biased.  
Second, she has got to be the happiest baby alive. She wakes up giggling. Well, she wakes up, and then she begins to giggle. And squeal. And blow raspberries. She's just so happy. I hope that her disposition stays this sweet even when she begins teething. 
She's beginning to do lots of new things (that I'll save for her 9 month update), and she's doing it all with a smile. 

I love them. Completely.

    Oooooh, I just want to squeeze them. Don't know which is cuter - the driving cap or the gigantic bows!!!!! Love you.

Monday Musings (5/4)

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
