Five Facts Friday (7/4)

1.  Happy 4th! Today, is also my sister's birthday! Happy birthday, B! You're an awesome sister, and I appreciate all of the things in you that I lack! :) You are kind and patient. Slow to anger and quick to listen. You have a huge faith that shows in the worst of times. You are strong, stronger than you realize. You are a wonderful wife and mom, and you are a true friend. I hope this new year of your life is the best one yet! 

2.  I got a call this morning from the NICU before heading up to nurse Ella. She is doing so well that I was invited to room in with her today. If all goes well, we take her home tomorrow. 

3.  I'm terrified. Not of being with her, of course. If she had been my first, I definitely would have been scared to be alone with her. No, my concern is purely circumstantial. I currently sleep on the couch in a room filled with furniture and Jack's things. There's no way to attach the cosleeper, and bringing one more item in there is going to be crazy. But we'll have to make do. I'm thankful I have the couch as an option to sleep on, and we have a swing that she can rest in until our home is liveable.

5.  I'm happy to not have to continue to pump. Sooooo happy. It served its purpose. It was very handy. And, now it will go back into storage haha.

    She's a little doll and she has Jack Campbell's little elf ears and your long fingers!! I see piano lessons in the future! :) Love you.

Monday Musings (5/4)

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe. My blog post title made me giggle.** If you stayed tuned and saw on FB that we'd be announcing this afternoon, then you're in luck.  So, without further adieu, Jack and Ella will be doing the honors.  Now, go on ahead and post in the comments what you guessed :) I was right early on but then changed my mind, so any guess was a good one!
