Appointments and Playtime

Today, Ella had her 2-week checkup. She's gained 7 ounces since she was released from the hospital! She's also grown almost half an inch. 
I took this one before we left. 

While The Bestie took Ella and me to the appointment (Thank you!), my sister and my niece watched Jack. He loves his new room and the freedom he has in there, and he kept them on their toes as he explored! Thank you, Ladies, for loving on my boy :)

While Jack and I were eating dinner tonight, I put Ella in the swing.  At one point, while Jack was crying and making a ruckus because he was cranky, I looked over and saw this. 
My sister reminded me that I did that, too, when I was a baby.  She did that for a good 30 minutes and continued even after I picked her up. 

Busy day. 

Tired, but happy momma. 

Fingers crossed as I remove the bandages on my incision tonight in the shower. Hoping the warm, soapy water does the trick!

    So glad little Ella is growing well. Also, glad Jack C. loves his new room. How wonderful that Kelli, Beth and Emma were able to help you yesterday. Maybe Emma could come some days to play with Jack and give you a little relief. Love you.

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
