Two Things Tuesday (11/26)

1. November is National Prematurity Awareness Month.
Jack was born a full month before his due date, and we were very very fortunate that he didn't have some of the problems premature babies often deal with.

This is the link to the CDC website that gives information on premature births.

And, this video made me sob and smile.  Grab a tissue or five. 


 2. Jack is 24 weeks old today. 
He's doing lots of new things lately including sitting with little assistance and raising his arms above his head when he wants to stand up.  It's completely adorable.

Monday Musings (5/4)

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe. My blog post title made me giggle.** If you stayed tuned and saw on FB that we'd be announcing this afternoon, then you're in luck.  So, without further adieu, Jack and Ella will be doing the honors.  Now, go on ahead and post in the comments what you guessed :) I was right early on but then changed my mind, so any guess was a good one!
