34 Weeks - Pregnancy #2

Each Sunday, I'd like to do a highlights post, including a picture, summarizing the differences in my pregnancy from week to week.  I totally "grabbed" this idea from Kelly.  I did this with my pregnancy with Hadley, as well, and I still think it is a great way to jot down the things that I don't want to forget later on.  I'll probably write these on Saturday nights and attach the picture the next day.  That way I can stay semi-technology free :)

Pregnancy Highlights:

How far along:  34 weeks - Third Trimester

Size of baby:  Baby Boy is between 19 and 22 inches crown to feet and weighs as much as a pineapple (around 5 pounds)

Total weight gain/loss:  At my appointment last Tuesday, I had lost another 1/2 of a pound, so my official weight gain this pregnancy so far is 16 pounds.

Maternity clothes:  My "typical" clothing attire is a soft sleeveless tank and soft knit shorts.  If I'm feeling super fancy or I know someone might be dropping by, I might put on a stretchy dress.  But most days, it's the former.

Gender:A less bouncy, more roll-y baby boy.

Movement:  He moves, but he really stays curled up in there.  I guess there's just not a lot of room to stretch.  Although, when he stretches, I sure know it!  Geez, my ribs take a beating.

Sleep:  Oh sleep.  I miss you.

What I miss:  Cleaning, cooking, leaving the house

Cravings:  ice cream

Symptoms: Minor back pain

Exercise: Nada.  I don't think my doctor would approve haha.

Belly Button in or out: It's still flat.

Wedding ring on or off: On :)

Happy or moody most of the time:  Mostly happy :)

Looking forward to:  Getting out of the house again on Wednesday for my appointment and then, assuming all continues to go well, visiting my parents for a few days and seeing friends and family at a small family shower in my hometown.

Best moment this week:  Hearing the doctor say that if I follow her directions, I can go to my family shower this weekend!

It was another Sunday of get up, get dressed, dab on some makeup, take the picture, and promptly change back into "comfy" clothes, and then wait patiently for The Husband to get to church and begin our Skype session.

    We're about to leave for church. You sure look cute in your adorable pregnancy top and shorts. We're excited that things are still going very well and we're looking forward to your being here for a few days. Tell Baby Boy we love him (and you, too).

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

A Little Revealing

**Hehehehe. My blog post title made me giggle.** If you stayed tuned and saw on FB that we'd be announcing this afternoon, then you're in luck.  So, without further adieu, Jack and Ella will be doing the honors.  Now, go on ahead and post in the comments what you guessed :) I was right early on but then changed my mind, so any guess was a good one!
