Thirty Days of Thankfulness - Day 22

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, Y'ALL!

Today, I'm thankful for so much, but mostly I'm grateful for the chance to be with family. To eat, to visit, to relax, to sit outside on a beautiful day.  To do it all with people we care about and who care about us.

Last night, we had an early Thanksgiving dinner with The Husband's immediate family.  We ate and played some games and laughed.

Today, we'll be with my side of the family, and we'll probably do those same things. :)

So, Day 22 of Thirty Days of Thankfulness?

Right now, I'm thankful for the opportunity to be with our loved ones on a day that represents a pretty important time in our country's history.

    We did have such a good time with everyone yesterday. We look forward every year to all the wonderful food and fellowship with so many special people. So glad y'all were able to kick back and relax. Love you.

Monday Musings (5/4)

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!

**Hehehehe.
