Thirty Days of Thankfulness - Day 1
I've decided to do something called Thirty Days of Thankfulness. This is not a novel idea, not something I invented on my own. It's been going around for the last couple of years; though I'm not sure who the originator was.
I participated in this on Facebook last year, or maybe the year before, and I truly appreciated how thankful it made me. Each day, I found something big or small that I was truly thankful for, and, therefore, my happiness-meter and my grateful-bar were sky high for most of the month. What a blessing!
So each day on here, bar any unforeseen craziness, I'm going to write about at least one thing/person/place I'm thankful for. If you want to join me, go right ahead. I'd love it if you'd link back to these posts, if you do.
Day 1
Today, I am thankful for these two anti-fungal items.
Why, you might ask?
Because what I thought was eczema on my leg before I left to go here, has since turned into (or already was and I was simply clueless) ringworm. Ugh, yes, I have ringworm. It's nasty. And quite itchy. And pretty embarrassing. But (I know I don't have to convince you, sweet friends, because you're not judging me haha), it's a fungal infection and not some bug-like creature, and that makes me feel a tad bit better (if you were judging me, I hope you feel a bit better now, too!).
I have no idea who graciously passed on this gift of extreme itchiness, and I certainly hope I haven't passed it on, as well.
I am, however, very grateful for medicine and home remedies that seem to relieve some of the discomfort and redness, if only for a little while.
So, there you have it.
Day 1: I am thankful for apple cider vinegar and anti-fungal ointment.

Yes, I'm thankful for anti-fungal meds for your relief, too!! So sorry you have contracted this itchy mess, but hope you get complete healing from it very soon. Can't wait to see what Day 2 of your thankfulness will be!! I am thankful for the two sweetest daughters any mother could have. You are both a blessing to me and your dad.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I just came on here to start my own Thankful list. But I got sidetracked catching up on my blog reading...
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel better, I've been dealing with yeast in Rachel's ear. Yeast! In her ear!!!! I never even knew it was possible. Live and learn...
