Thirty Days of Thankfulness - Take Two - Day 8

I'm thankful today for consignment shops and their gently used clothes and toys and shoes. 
I got this dress at one of our local shops (Glory B's for my local friends!) last week for $9.  Love it! It needs some fixing of stitches, but you can't. I wore it to church this morning, and I plan on wearing it throughout the fall (maybe with a cute jacket that I'll be searching for!). 
I have gotten so many of the kids clothes and toys at another local shop (Dudley D's -- love that place and the sweet owner!), and I've sold a ton there, too. 
It makes life so simple and far less expensive to shop consignment shops :)

Thank you, Lord, for the option of less expensive items that we need and want!

    Nederland is blessed to have these two very nice consignment shops. I think Ella's new little boots are adorable. And, you looked tres chic this morning in your new dress. Love you.

~I'm in the mood to decorate my backyard with beautiful flowers, especially along the fence line. I was thinking rose bushes. But, then. I get email notifications from a company called Joss & Main often with discounted prices and good deals, and today's email showed that, among other things, they had their garden items on sale. I clicked on over and saw the prettiest hydrangeas! I ADORE hydrangeas. We had them in our wedding, and they were so simple and beautiful. Unfortunately, they already sold out of all of their hydrangeas!!  BOO.  I'll keep looking around to find some good deals.  If you're also in the gardening mood, check out their sales . Maybe they'll have the plant, garden item, outdoor furniture, or other item for around the house you're searching for. ~Saturday morning, my mom and I took the kids to our local consignment shop. They were having a birthday/reopening/moving celebration and had prizes and food and a man doing face painting.

Introducing....

I know I left you all in suspense. Right now I'm running on very little sleep (we were awake for 25 hours straight, & I've slept an hour and 45 minutes total since then), so this is more informative and less story-like--his birth story will come later. I have to tell it, at some point, because it was nothing short of amazing.  And traumatic.  And I may have to gather more details from those who might remember it more clearly. So, without further ado... (And with a very grainy picture from my iPad taken in the early light of day--6:45), I'd like to introduce you to our son. Jack Campbell Born on 6-11-13 at 1:11 am (he's almost 6 hours old) Weighing 6 pounds 2 ounces (praise God!!) and measuring 18.5 inches long.  He's entirely too precious for words.  We feel ridiculously tired and immeasurably blessed. Thank you for praying!
