Five Facts Friday (4/4)

1.  I almost never wear shoes anymore unless I'm leaving the house. I am the stereotypical "barefoot and pregnant" woman and proud of it. Shoes are uncomfortable and get in the way (except they do serve a purpose outside, as I do not like walking on concrete or in dirt barefooted).  2.  The Husband starts his new job next week, and we are both thrilled and nervous :) 3. I think Jack will be crawling soon. He's great at getting from sitting to all fours, but then he usually slides to his belly from there. These "new" things happening are so neat to watch! 4. He's also been dealing with some separation anxiety. If I leave the room for even a few minutes, he often gets upset. If others hold him or even look at him while sitting/standing nearby, he has to see me at all times. I was starting to worry that I'd done something to make him this clingy and that he wasn't getting enough independent playtime (which he probably isn't, but fi...

Five Facts Friday (2/21)--updated with video

1.  Jack is doing really well in his new bed. He goes down for naps without a hitch, and he's doing really great at night. The only thing I've noticed is that with all that free bed space he has now, he moves A LOT.  Every time I go in to get him after he's woken from a nap or to get him in the morning after a full night's sleep, I find him turned from where he had been when I laid him down. In the mornings, he's usually turned a full 180 degrees and on his side. He's a mess. A very cute mess.  2. The Husband completed the next part of the application/interview process for the job he's hoping to get soon. He has an interview with them next week.  Please keep him in your prayers. His schooling is still going well; although, I think they've reached a slightly boring part. I know he'll be happy when they move onto a new topic in another week or so.  3. I'm contemplating reading a book called  The Fault in Our Stars . Have any of you read it?...

Taste and See

"That was a long list of praises." That's what The Husband said last night after we had prayed together before calling it a night.  It was an incredibly long list.  It made us feel incredible to be so thankful for how God has moved recently in our lives and in the lives of those we love. He's moved a lot, and I want to share one specific example of how He's made Himself known over and over again in the last three months.  Hold onto your hats, Ladies and Gents.  ..............................................................................................................................................   Nearly three months ago, I received a Letter of Intent from my headmaster.  It's given to all members of the faculty and staff each year.  In simple terms, it lets the administration know what our plans are for next year:  to return and teach another year or to not return.  They were distributed on the last Friday of February, and...
