The Name Game - Revisited

I promised a week ago that I'd post a name poll (especially for Aunt Jan!) before they all leave on their trip next week, and I completely forgot about it until 11pm last night.  Oops! Forgotten.  That's my memory lately, Folks. So, this is probably too late for you, Aunt Jan, but here it is anyway.  Have fun voting! Oh, and Mom, you better put your poker face on when Aunt Jan grills you ;) Just practice smiling and saying, "You'll find out in August!" :D I loved ALL of these! The Husband...not so much!  Which name is your favorite, or which do you think we've chosen for our baby girl?   Sawyer Hope   Ella Hope   Hensley Hope   Lillian Hope   Everly Hope   Laurel Hope    pollcode.com free polls

A Scare and The Name Game

This past Sunday evening, I had some pretty heavy bleeding.  It was completely scary, but The Husband stayed calm, and I stayed mostly calm.  I laid on the couch and called The Bestie while he cleaned everything up.  I've had spotting before, but it's never been like that.  So, I waited and prayed and rested.  I played music by my belly, and Baby Boy just moved and danced right along.  I was very reassured.  No more bleeding has occurred since then, but I would ask for your prayers that that was a one-time occurrence and that both the baby and I are fine.  I do have an appointment with my doctor on Thursday upon her request, so I may have an exam or an ultrasound or both.  I think to see him would be reassuring, but I'm feeling pretty at peace right now and trusting in God to heal whatever the problem was and protect the baby in the process, so I'm not feeling like I need an ultrasound.  However, I won't turn down the chance to see him ...

What's in a name?

*Sigh* This has been a rough day. TMI alert.  If you don't do squeamish, you should probably skip this section or not read this post at all So, last night I had some bleeding.  Not a lot, but enough to bother me.  I had had some spotting early on in the pregnancy which, since it was early on, worried me considerably.  But.  Everything was fine. Then last night happened, many weeks after the original spotting, and I was concerned. This morning, after making it through the morning sickness stage without vomiting once, I became increasingly sick to my stomach until finally I had to make a run for the bathroom.  Miraculously, I made it to the toilet in time and vomited up whatever was in my stomach.  The nausea went away, but I worried.  And worried.  And cried.  And woke The Husband.  We decided it was best that I call the doctor. So, I did.  And, amazingly they worked me in pretty quickly.  We didn't have to wait in...
