What's Old is New

Image
My mom brought over a bag of a few articles of clothing I wore as a baby. I've set most of the items aside for when Ella is big enough to wear them.  However, there was a neat white and blue bib that I knew would be perfect for our little drooly man.   I love that there's a teething toy attached! Isn't that ingenious? I wish his other bibs were as neat! Plus, this one has a snap and stays put to protect his shirt from the onslaught of moisture, which seems to escape his mouth constantly.  Awesome!  Thanks, Mom (Nana) for saving these things for us!

Five Facts Friday (11/15)

1.  I'm doing this post because I tried yesterday to write up a Thankful Thursday post. BOTH times this Blogger app I'm using chose to delete everything I had written. TWICE. I gave up. But, I am grateful.  See #5. 2.  Jack had his well-baby checkup yesterday (a month late).  Everyone in the office said he was such a good baby.  He enjoyed the room we were in and loved looking at and talking to all of the fish decorations on the walls. He was also seriously, deliciously cute in his adorable leggings and hat!  See #3 for proof.  3.     4.  I love maxi skirts. And, maxi dresses. But, maxi dresses (or any dresses really) aren't particularly doable while I'm still nursing. So, maxi skirts and cute tops will have to suffice.  5.  I am thankful for reminders to be thankful.  (And, oh how I love Winnie the Pooh . I can't wait to share those sweet stories with Jack.) http://pinterest.com/pin/155655730844991330/ http://pinterest.com/pin

Weekend Events

Y'all, we had a wonderful, crazy-eventful weekend!  I hope yours was just as lovely :) Friday, around noon, I received a text from my sweet friend Tina saying she had two extra tickets and wanted to know if we'd like to join them at a gala benefiting Redeemed Ministries  that evening.  The Husband and I were excited because it's an organization/ministry we TRULY believe in.  I've spoken about it on here before briefly, but this ministry is one that is truly caring for "the least of these."  I am appalled at the numbers of girls in the UNITED STATES who are caught up and are then trapped in the human sex-slave industry.  Please check out their website.  Watch their videos and read about their mission.  And then, like the speaker said Friday night, pray for these girls and this organization; donate what you can to help these girls start a new, safe, redeemed life; or get involved. A sweet little surprise was waiting for us when we got to the gala.  A guy fr
