Day 31 of Capturing December - Fun Our last day of 2015 was spent doing our usual routine. We had a little bit of fun :)

Day 30 of Capturing December - Your Winter Wonderland

Ella - 18 Months Old

Our Ella-Bella has changed so very much since she entered our lives a year and a half ago! She's such a big girl, who is learning something new every day.  Ella loves to play with her big brother. She will follow him and chase him and yell "hi" at him across the room. She gives him (and all of us) sweet hugs and kisses often. She kinda thinks he's great, and the feeling is mutual. Today, he has told me no fewer than 10 times that "Eya" is "pwitty!"   I was looking for something on my blog and came across this gem . I'm so thankful God is answering my prayers for them.  She enjoys looking at books almost more than anything else. I find her like this in the living room and in their bedroom many times a day.  She's learning to help clean up toys and to put dirty clothes in the basket, and she enjoys the praise from us when she does a great job.  She's still a good eater, but her table manners still need improvement (

Day 25 of Capturing December - Morning  We sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus, ate breakfast, opened gifts and stockings, and then The Husband went back to sleep :). It was a sweet morning. Now, the kids are playing, and I'm continuing to clean in preparation for our family dinner tonight. I hope your morning was just as joy-filled! Merry Christmas!

Day 24 of Capturing December - Favorite Part of Christmas Eve

From Our Family to Yours (2015)

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve! This month has shot by.   (I wish I had found this app weeks ago! I could have sent these as Christmas cards instead of the 8 I actually found time to send. Seriously, 8. I'm sorry if you didn't get one! Toddlers. Life. Everything seemed to pile up, and I just didn't make the effort. :( But, even if you didn't get one, know that we love you!) To all those who have touched our lives this year and to all whose lives we've touched (if even just a tiny bit), we wish you the MOST joyous Christmas.  May you experience the gift of Jesus, his love, his grace, and the hope that we can have knowing him.  "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." That is why we celebrate! (Photo credit: My mom)

Day 15 of Capturing December - Favorite Holiday Song It's a tie. This version is lovely (and I went to school with the bass :)). This version is so moving. I will always, always think of our old church when I hear this song. Sweet (and funny because I was TERRIFIED of messing up my bell part) memories. I miss singing with those wonderful people every week.

Day 13 of Capturing December - Family I wish I had gotten some pictures of us after church this morning, but I left my phone in the car. Oh well. These are sweeter anyway, and I'll just imagine that I'm in the shots, too.

Jack - 2 1/2 years Old

30 months ago, this little boy entered our world and forever changed my definition of love .  He seems smarter every day, and he's great at trying new things (both the adventure-kind and the food-kind).   He's completely potty trained during the day (except for naps) and very seldom has accidents.  His speech has really improved, and he tries hard to communicate what he's thinking.   He is kind and loving to Ella, and she loves him for it. They play chase now, and it's adorable.  He is a puzzle-master! He enjoys them and does them with ease.  He is so funny. He has a great sense of humor and loves to make us all laugh.  He's a daredevil, but he is also learning his limits.  He loves to be read to, and he loves to paint.  He relishes our time outside, and he begs to go out often.  He is a problem-solver and a hug/kiss-giver.  He is an animal-lover and a fantastic hopper.  He is our boy. We adore him.
